Why these settings

The GB-20 is a clean bass practice amp with no overdrive capability—gain is set to 0 because the knob controls input sensitivity, not distortion. Bass is cut from neutral to reduce low-end mud since bass guitar fundamentals are an octave below the original. Treble is pushed to add articulation. You need a distortion pedal to get anywhere near this tone; without one, you will have clean bass sound only.

PRO TIPIf you want to play Atreyu guitar parts, you need a guitar and guitar amp—this is non-negotiable. A Squier Affinity Strat/Tele ($200) into a Boss Katana 50 ($230) with the 'Brown' channel would get you 90% of this tone.
