The Katana 50 MkII lacks an external presence knob, so presence is nulled. To compensate for a bright single-coil Strat playing a 12-string/humbucker tube-fuzz riff, we use the neck pickup with tone slightly rolled back and push the amp's Bass and Mid controls. Using the Katana's Crunch model with the onboard Booster provides the thick, vintage valve-distortion sag of the Selmer and Coopersonic rig.

PRO TIPPick firmly right near the neck pickup using a heavy pick, and let the lower strings ring with deliberate, palm-damped attack on the slides to emulate the heavy 12-string fundamental thump.
