The Lone Star's warm, Fender-inspired clean with subdued bass translates to Katana's Crunch type at low gain — this gives that tube sag and touch response. Your GIO's ceramic humbuckers are hotter and darker than Timmons' vintage Strat single coils, so I raised mid +1 and cut bass -1 to compensate for the thicker voicing. Tone knob at 7 (not 10) rolls off some of the humbucker's harshness to approach that Strat neck sweetness.
