Why these settings

To emulate Cantrell's multi-layered Bogner tone using single coils on a Stratocaster, the BGN LEAD amp block provides the core saturated brown sound while the TS Drive boosts input level to mimic a high-output Seymour Duncan JB. Bass is raised to 6 and treble dialed back to 5 with the Strat's tone knob rolled to 8 to thicken the single-coil bridge pickup and tame excessive high-end chime. Verses are played slightly lighter on the guitar volume (around 7) before rolling to full 10 for the chorus riff.

PRO TIPJerry Cantrell's heavy rhythm tracks use heavy downward pick attack right near the bridge with slight palm damping on the lower strings to get that signature percussive chug without losing clarity.
